Aria - Whom Are You With Aria - Armageddon (2020) Killing Addiction - Omega Factor Accept - Too Mean to Die Sacramentum - Finis Malorum Abigor - Totschläger (A Saintslayers Songbook)
One benefit of the whole year list thing, is that you need to go back and re-listen to a lot of great stuff. Dexter Wards third opus surely belongs near the very top of such a list, damn this is good.

Inquisition- Black Mass for a Mass Grave I don't really love black metal anymore, but wow. This release has won me over and I keep replaying it.
Purification- Perfect Doctrine Here's a doom metal release I don't ever see conversation about. I think this album is among the best doom of the year. Not epic doom, just really good doom. And the vocalist is same with Troll, another doom band who put out an album that was #1 on my top 10 list last year.
Root-The Book Their run from the debut to Black Seal is absolutely unreal, and this might be the highpoint
Eternal Champion-Ravening Iron Well, this grew on me like a fungus and I now agree this is totally awesome. Excuse me while I go print out my review so I can spit on it.
Obsecration-Oceanum Oblivione Reissue of a Greek Death Metal album from the 2000s that seemed to cause some waves. Pretty cool release, rather technical and off-kilter without being too experimental
Septicflesh-Ophidian Wheel One Greek Death Metal band leading me to relisten to another, one that was way more experimental and awesome.
Eternal Champion-Ravening Iron Well, this grew on me like a fungus and I now agree this is totally awesome. Excuse me while I go print out my review so I can spit on it.
Am I the only one left, who not keen on this? Perhaps I should listen again, must be missing something.

Like some traditional metal, it is a grower, doesn't give up all its secrets "right out of the box" if you will
Chalice - Trembling Crown
Not sure what to make of this after one listen but will definitely be going back
Briton Rites-Occulte Fantastique More direct and heavy than For Mircalla, but also less atmospheric, and the songs don't stand out as much. Kind of a let down so far.
Molde Volhal-Into the Cave of Ordeals... Hey, you like Epic Black Metal with big riffs? Well good news, this is a very good example of just that.
