I may have to look into that Nunslaughter
And Luxi, I'm a huge Priest fanboy, too, but Point of Entry is not good LOL! You should write a review, I'd love to read what you like about it \m/ \m/
Mike!
Nah, I don't think I will ever bother to write a review for the P.o.E. album. Anyways, all I can tell you that I did not appreciate the album so much at first (it was a grower of an album for me really), but after a few years of its release, it really clicked with me - much like the band's "disco fever forever" album Turbo did (which I tended to hate when it came out back in 1986).
Songs like "Heading out to the Highway", "Desert Plains" and "Solar Angels" are the highlights off this records, no doubt. Those are the three best songs, we can agree on that, brother!

I'm up to the year 1992 (and review #1,992) and if you've been following along it's been;
1980 Witchfynde - Give 'Em Hell
1981 Judas Priest - Point of Entry
1982 Motorhead - Iron Fist
1983 Ozzy - Bark at the Moon 1984 Exciter - Violence & Force 1985 Overkill - Feel the Fire 1986 Cirith Ungol - One Foot in Hell 1987 Voivod - Killing Technology 1988 Metallica - ...And Justice 1989 Blind Guardian - Follow the Blind 1990 Paradise Lost - Lost Paradise 1991 Bolt Thrower - War Master 1992 Demolition Hammer - Epidemic of Violence
Thanks for all the suggestions, it's been interesting checking out a lot of albums and bands I've never listened to before. Hope everyone sticks around for the next eight leading up to 2000 \m/

Great list so far - some essential albums among them.
Excited to see the next batch.

I was super stoked you reviewed my 1992 pick, Demolition Hammer. I agree with much of the points you wrote. I do wish the production could have gotten more bottom-end in there but oh well. The only thing different for me is there are some really memorable bits for me, although nothing hits as hard as that main crushing groove that comes a few times in the first track. Man, that shit just crushes!

There you go, 2000, you crazy bastard. I never thought, that fateful day in December 2008, when you mistakenly let me join the staff, that you'd allow me to hang around long enough to write 2000 reviews
For anyone interested in my "Year by year" march to 2000, final list below. Biggest surprises were Bolt Thrower and Necrophobic, really good stuff.
1980 Witchfynde - Give 'Em Hell 1981 Judas Priest - Point of Entry 1982 Motorhead - Iron Fist 1983 Ozzy - Bark at the Moon 1984 Exciter - Violence & Force 1985 Overkill - Feel the Fire 1986 Cirith Ungol - One Foot in Hell 1987 Voivod - Killing Technology 1988 Metallica - ...And Justice 1989 Blind Guardian - Follow the Blind 1990 Paradise Lost - Lost Paradise 1991 Bolt Thrower - War Master 1992 Demolition Hammer - Epidemic of Violence 1993 Rotting Christ - Thy Mighty Contract 1994 Pentagram - Be Forewarned 1995 Skyclad - The Silent Whales of Lunar Sea 1996 Bathory - Blood on Ice 1997 Hammerfall - Glory to the Brave 1998 Primal Fear - Primal Fear 1999 Necrophobic - The Third Antichrist 2000 Sabbat - Satanasword
