Marduk - Fuck Me Jesus ('tis the season...)
Aria - Hero of Asphalt Vanden Plas - The Ghost Experiment blablabla Diamond Head - The Coffin Train Abigor - Totschläger (A Saintslayers Songbook) Incantation - Sect of Vile Divinities très amusant
That Diamond Head album is incredible. After reading your review of the rerecorded Lightning to the Nations, I'm really looking forward to it

Hexecutor- Beyond Any Human Conception of Knowledge...
Schubert- Symphony #9, “The Great” Yeah, for some reason I really wanted to replay this symphony. I performed it a few years ago. One of the longest and busiest symphonies out there for a violinist, although not as long as Mahler and Bruckner symphonies. Some of this might really rub off well on metal fans, I’d wager.

Based on the readers' rating, it looks like I'm all alone. LOL. Fuck it, I've listened to it so many times that I stand by what I said.

Both of the Eternal Champion full-lengths.
I have to say, both records grew on me a lot with time, and the first album continues to do so. “I Am The Hammer” used to be a track that I just only sort of liked, but now I just find it to be so intensely satisfying. And I love the album closer (not the instrumental that follows) more than the closer for the new album. But the new album packs quite a punch.
Before, I felt the new album was absolutely a step up, but actually I’m really not sure. At the least, I think the new album is as good as the first one. That’s still very good.

I messed around on youtube last night and stumbled upon a live vid from KIT. Nodding right along until the singer had to open his mouth.... the vocals are a big turn-off for me, I think.

I’d suggest you dig a little deeper on this band because I had a similar feeling. In fact, while much of the Metal world was sending off high praise for Eternal Champion, some even calling The Armor of Ire the Metal album of the decade, I wasn’t buying into the hype at all. But with time, those vocals aged quite well on me. I will say though, has this guy ever heard of vibrato?! Hahaha! Nah, nowadays it’s stuff like that that make vocalists stand out more, and I imagine that’s one of the reasons people tend to like his style and sound. Anyway, the band rules, with vocals that may require some getting used to. Worth it.

Have purchased most of their stuff on bandcamp since the demo tracks in '13.
But point taken, will give the new one a few more listens and see if it grows on me. More often than not, I need to listen a lot to some records before everything suddenly clicks into place.

Dark Forest: Oak, Ash & Thorn Megaton Sword: Blood Hails Steel - Steel Hails Fire Is it just me, or is that Wastrel chorus not somewhat familiar? Reminds me of something I have heard before, but have not pinpointed it yet... The chorus on Wastrels sounds straight out of an Iron Maiden song, and I've also thought about that before. That song is eerily close to sounding like a Maiden song.

Hate Forest - Hour of the CentaurI was listening to that while painting the baseboards. Seemed like a fitting soundtrack. NP: Aphrodite - Lust and War
