Without Remorse
This is an Amazon movie based on the Tom Clancy novel. I seem to recall that was one of my least favourite of his, the book going on far too long. But I read that in like 1994 or 1995, so I didn’t remember much of it. I went into the movie with low expectations so that made it tolerable, but it feels as long as the book. Some good fight scenes, but I found the acting often kind of mechanical.
Their Jack Ryan series, on the other hand, is very good.

Child's Play 2 It has some more creative kills than the first, and Chucky is entertaining as always, but it lacks the surprising menace of the first.

Star Wars
The movie that got me into science-fiction back in 1977. I almost didn't go see it. This was one of those rare occasions where the theatre had two matinees for kids ($1 to see a movie) on a weekend. That was usually on Sunday, but they had it on Saturday. I was playing outside on Sunday and a friend came in rushing, "you have to come see this movie! I saw it yesterday and I'm going back again today!"
Where I lived, if you wanted to see a movie, you had to catch it that weekend. Every weekend had a different movie and then it was gone.

Where I lived, if you wanted to see a movie, you had to catch it that weekend. Every weekend had a different movie and then it was gone. My parents took me to see it at the local drive-in (with Logan's Run as the first feature) and I had no clue what I had just watched but KNEW it was awesome. My mother dropped me off at a regular indoor theater the next weekend (in one of the bigger nearby cities, when you could leave a 10-year-old alone for a couple of hours and not worry he was going to get abducted) so I could see it again. Oh, how I wanted a lightsaber...

At 7 I wasn’t allowed to go to the movies at night, but I think starting with The Empire Strikes Back, at age 10, I was able to see it a couple of times that weekend. I know for a fact that I saw Return of the Jedi three nights in a row (by then I wasn’t interest in kids matinees - haha).
I did not see all the movies that followed in the theatre, however. At least I don’t think so.

Scarface This gets hailed as a classic, and I suppose it's entertaining, but it's also way too long and doesn't feel like it amounts to much outside of Al Pacino chewing the scenery whenever he's on screen.
Child's Play 3 God, these get lamer as they go on. How do you put Chucky in a military school and give him the lamest kills so far?

So bad it is really entertaining. Stupid situations, unbelievable plot, Brad Dourif as Chucky cracking wise, it's got it all

Total 2000s trash, but damn proud of it and supremely entertaining because of it. Seed of ChuckyEverything I said about Bride? Exact opposite, what a crappy film.
