... should hear. Vincent Crowley kept his main band ACHERON alive for 30 long years until he decided to put it to eternal rest. Now he's having a new band going, simply carrying his own name, VINCENT CROWLEY, which is a very different sounding entity compared to ACHERON. Check it out from -> H E R E <-

I'm sure there are many I could mention, so I'll go with the most recent one I came across. I just got a promo for Idle Ruin's self-titled EP. They're a death/thrash band from Australia. There's a subtle blackened vibe to it and it's also kind of "rocking". It's only 17 minutes, but it's an entertaining 17 minutes. I'll have a review up in the next couple of days. I can never remember if a band is new or not
Visigoth guitarist Jamison Palmer has a new band, Blood Star, that has put out a couple of digital singles of which The Fear is pretty good

White Magician are a band that's been generating buzz recently, and for damn good reason. Their debut is something akin to Blue Oyster Cult played by Mercyful Fate, and it rules. They even make the god damn cow bell work somehow!

Not really new, but as they do not have a review here, chances are they are not well known; Baest, a young Danish death metal band is on a fast local rise. (And if corona had not broken their momentum, would have toured europe on this summers festival circut.) Anyway, I nave never been much into dm, but these guys have kind of changed that. Quite good imo.

ThrashWall from Portugal. These guys sound a lot like a cross between Testament and Nuclear Assault. AWESOME Crossover-Thrash!!

Seems decent, but am not sold on the vocals, kinda annoying vocal style.

There was the one-off here and there, but that's really picked up in the past couple of years.
