The Necromancer of Rock: The Origins of Death SS (1977-1982) Rotting Ways to Misery: The History of Finnish Death Metal ( they keep talking about some weird guy named Luxi Lahtinen in there....) That guy must have a pretty notorious reputation in Finland... Did he burn some churches down in Finland back in the day in the name of " false death metal gods" or something?

Extremity Retained: Notes From the Death Metal Underground
That book was mentioned in Rotting Ways to Misery, figured I'd check it out.

Some recent reads: Malice by John Gwynne Valor by John Gwynne Beowulf translation by Seamus Heaney Guards! Guards! by Terry Pratchett Men at Arms by Terry Pratchett Small Gods by Terry Pratchett Also doing another read through of the Invincible comic series to celebrate the animated adaptation on Amazon Prime. Easily my favorite non-DC/Marvel superhero title along with Hellboy. Is the Prime adaptation any good? I'm not familiar with the comics but the Prime landing page graphics caught my eye Sorry I just saw this. Yeah I thought it was very good and hit all the main big beats of the first 12-15ish issues of the comic. They naturally changed some stuff that took me a few episodes to get used to but all in all I was pleased. OT: Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller The Blacktongue Thief by Christopher Buehlman The Boatman's Daughter by Andy Davidson

The last one I read was an H.P. Lovecraft collection called Tales of Terror. Good shit.

Finished the past few months:
Feet of Clay by Terry Pratchett Jingo by Terry Pratchett The Wisdom of Crowds by Joe Abercrombie The Fisherman by John Langan A Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay The Children of Red Peak by Craig DiLouie The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix
Only one I didn't care for was The Children of Red Peak. Massively deflating ending. Loved the Pratchett and Abercrombie, as always.
Currently reading:
Paperbacks from Hell by Grady Hendrix Ruin by John Gwynne
