Someone Else's Daughter: A novel about a woman who had a daughter after being raped and her husband gave her up for adoption without her consent.
Blood Fire Death: The Swedish Metal Story: The title says it all. This had been on my radar for a while but I finally bought it a few weeks ago. It's not as engaging in terms of writing style as those books on Finnish black metal and USBM that I read/reviewed, but there's a lot of good stuff in it.
I'm also reading some old issues of Metalegion and more current (2020) issues of Metalian (French metal magazine).

Recently read The Metamorphosis. What a miserable story, I quite liked it.

Just finished Ted Templeman's autobiography. He's the guy that produced all of Van Halen's early albums, plus a ton of other stuff in the 70s and 80s. Interesting but not The Dirt by a long way
I have the book the HBO series Chernobyl was based on but given the nature of this year, I haven't been in the mood to read it

Currently on vol 2 of Jim Butchers Codex Alera series. Loved the Dresden files, so thought I would give this ago while waiting for the next vols in that.
Entertaining so far, not challenging, which is kind of what I need right now.

Maybe "based on" isn't entirely accurate but Midnight in Chernobyl by Adam Higginbotham is the book and I'm pretty sure the creators of Chernobyl used the book quite a bit in their research for the show

That book is rated through the roof on Amazon.

Started reading A Confederacy of Dunces. You know, I actually tried writing a novel in college where part of the point was having a fully unlikable protagonist, but somehow the main character of this story is significantly more unlikable. I feel inadequate.

I just got the audiobook version of Rob Halford's autobiography from Amazon Audible. You get to pick two free books if you have Prime, so I got that one and the wife picked something else.
It's read by Rob Halford himself, so that's something.

I’ve always avoid audible books because I listen to music while reading, but now I’m reconsidering.

The Spolding Conundrum: Mark Noble Space Adventure Book 4 by Tony Harmsworth.
I got the first book, Moonscape, for free (Kindle) and was hooked after a couple of pages. I'm now several pages into book 4 and it's looking good. I've also read a couple of his other books (not part of this series) and they're all page-turners.
