A couple new releases are coming from the Norwegian Black/Thrash horde Nocturnal Breed: Conjuration and Svartalv. (the band's vocalist/bassist S. A. Destroyer wrote to tell me: "...if you are interested being the first to publish the news properly"). -> Done.

The new Pestilence track sounds AWESOME... talk about return to form, back to the Testimony era...

Looking forward to hearing Sermons of the Sinner by KK's Priest. The track below sounds pretty promising actually...

DoomSword has a new album in 'first draft' form. Good to hear. In the meantime I should probably go and listen to the albums I missed. I recently listened to the debut album a lot since I’m working on a review for Sangreal’s album, which features the same vocalist from the first Doomsword album, a remarkably talented singer. Also, welcome aboard the Metalcrypt forum!

I'm looking forward to the new Rage album (out September) and the new Powerwolf, which should be out this week, I believe.
I also haven't received my copy of the new Blaze album yet. So if that counts.

The artwork for the new Onward is definitely cool. Hope the music is at the same level.

Latest Maiden single came out today. It's a lot better than the last one, though it's clear to me that Bruce recording vocals in the middle of a tour maybe wasn't the best idea. I also swear something is wrong with the mix on him, but I don't know enough about production to say what it is.

I like the song, but I agree that the vocals are weird. I already thought there was something wrong with the last single, but things are even more pronounced with this one. It sounds like the vocals are slightly too low on the mix.

I dig the two new Maiden songs, with "The Writing on the Wall" in particular having really grown on me the past few weeks. Bruce's vocals are a bit hard to hear on the new one, but I also think it doesn't help that Gers is playing the vocal melody at the entire time.

Hooded Menace release The Tritonus Bell August 27th! That’s already today over here in China, but the full album is not on streaming sites just yet. I’m really excited and already enjoying the few tracks released quite a lot. For me, Hooded Menace are the band to watch in Death/Doom. High expectations here.
