Cathedral-The Carnival Bizarre Cathedral's best album, but you already knew that.
Kuka'ilimoku-Pu'ukohola Soil Slightly punky Darkthrone worship all about Hawaiian culture. Nothing new, but pretty good.

Steel Bearing Hand- Slay In Hell Did a review on this one a moment ago. Great Death/Thrash from Texas! Bassist played in that new Frozen Soul album, for those who liked that. However, this is nothing like Frozen Soul. I found Frozen Soul boring after a while (yeah, it's well done and effective, but yeah...), but this is a riff driven venture that really puts guitars first and everything else slightly behind. The guitar work is so good that I don't care that the vocals sound a bit distant. And there's a lot of variety on the album. Well worth checking out.
Wode- Burn in Many Mirrors Strange album title. This album is getting some hype, and I kinda liked their previous stuff, although not a lot. This sounds like maybe a step up for them, and the vocals are really strong on this. It does have a few surprises here and there, especially to me the noticeable old school death metal sound that pops in here and there. It's already known for people who know the band that there is also a pinch of NWOBHM in their sound at times, but it definitely doesn't come close to hijacking the album. This is still an extreme metal album for sure.

I've been enjoying some "disco fever" lately - and hence my choice was: JUDAS PRIEST - Turbo

Overkill: Taking Over
After being a Years of Decay fanboy for years untold, I am beginning to think, that this is instead the best Overkill album of them all.
What are your favourite?

Taking over is definitely my favorite. Feel the Fire is my 2nd favorite. Then after that one I like years of Decay. And then? The Grinding Wheel! That album is under appreciated.

Vetrar Dragurinn-Hinterlands Gothic Metal project with Marjan Welman. No, it doesn't sound like Autumn, but yes, it is pretty good and she sounds fantastic as always.
Doublegeddon-Two Geddons Epic, old-school, and badass as all hell. Not bad for only having two songs.

Have probably not given that one proper attention, will give it a re-listen while working out later.
Of their newer output, I have a particular soft spot for White Devil Armory, but Ironbound is also more than solid.

They have a single track, Night of the demon on Bandcamp also where they refer to an coming album. But that is from 2019, so we are probably not talking any time soon.
Still, one more band to be added to the fast growing list of promising new epic metal acts.

Cannibal Corpse - Violence UnimaginedObituary - Cause of DeathImmolation - AtonementNecrot - MortalThat's a solid death metal playlist there. I love Cause of Death and thoroughly enjoyed Atonement. I thought Necrot's material sounded great, but it didn't hold my attention well after the halfway mark. I've yet to hear new Cannibal Corpse though, and that's the treat I am looking forward to checking out soon. Good stuff!
